PPOC Launches New Website Designed by Boston Interactive

The Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's partnered with Boston Interactive for the design of their new website. PPOC had no previous online presence and was interested in creating a community for their members, as well as the general public, that focused on their commitment to quality care for children. With over 200 physicians in 75 practices in Eastern Massachusetts, PPOC is one of the Nation's largest pediatric primary care physician organizations. Boston Interactive's challenge was to build an online identity that corroborated with PPOC's existing mission and delivered a sense of pride to members while promoting the organization's trustworthiness to the general public.

An important part of this project was the secure member login area which supported 5 tiers of access. Based on credentials assigned by PPOC, members are given specific content, news and other information when logged in. The secure area also provides a discussion thread for doctors and members to share information, helpful links, and ideas. The website acts as an important resource for members, providing an event calendar and industry news and as a resource to the general public, providing practice directories. Boston Interactive built the website using the Smartwebs content management system and provided usability research and testing.
