Boston Interactive Attends Breaking Development 2012 Conference
Breaking Development is North America’s first and largest conference dedicated to the mobile web. Focusing on emerging technologies in web design, the conferences take place at locations across the country multiple times each year. This April, Boston Interactive’s Scott Noonan and Patrick Harrington headed to sunny Florida to participate in Breaking Development Orlando 2012. After 15 speakers, 2 workshops, and 3 days of inspiration, the two returned eager and excited to share their conference experiences.
Scott Noonan, Chief Technology Officer
Having recently attended SXSW, Scott appreciated the intimate nature of Breaking Development and its effect in fostering collaboration as well as discussion and debate. “Breaking Development provided a great opportunity to speak with and learn from the best and brightest in the web development community. With the explosive growth of mobile, we all need to re-think our strategies surrounding not only design, but development and content as well. Our greatest challenge today is determining the best way to deliver an equally satisfying web experience to any user regardless of the device they are using. This was a major focus of Breaking Development this year, and I was happy to have a voice in that discussion.”
Patrick Harrington, Senior User Experience Analyst
Patrick enjoyed Breaking Development as an opportunity to reflect on where the web has been, where it is now, and where it will take us in the future. “I left Orlando completely blown away at all the types of mobile devices that are out there in the world and the changing landscape of web-consuming devices that is yet to come. Mobile is an absolute game-changer in how people consume and exchange information. It’s exciting to be part of crafting the future of these mobile experiences.”
Patrick and Scott had a great time at the conference and are excited to share their inspiration with the rest of the Boston Interactive team. The two have already begun implementing their freshly gained knowledge in their daily routines and strategizing how to optimize mobile experiences in the future.
